Your Clearest Strengths

Ask yourself these questions to heighten your awareness of your strengths:

  • What do you really enjoy doing? You should be good at what you like doing.
  • What things are easy for you to do? Likely strengths.
  • What sorts of things do you find hard to do? Possible weaknesses.
  • What can you do that your colleagues and friends can't do?
  • What would you like to do more of? Strength or development need?
  • What have you achieved through your personal efforts?
  • What have you achieved working with others?
  • What have you done that you are proud of?
  • How did you get through a difficult time at work? What strengths did you draw upon in that situation?
  • What have you shown others how to do?
  • What have you learned in recent years?
  • What specialized knowledge do you have?
  • What do others look up to you for?
  • What are you known for? What is your reputation?
  • What have you seen or experienced that others have not?
  • What personal crises have you survived? How did you do it?
  • What sort of help do people turn to you for?
  • You might have a talent for something you have never done. People often report seeing someone else doing something they have never done and saying to themselves: ''I could do that.''
